이진영(1992)은 한국에서 태어나고 자랐다. 그의 사진은 일상의 작은 질문에서 시작해, 사소함 속 연결된 이야기들을 찾아낸다. 거대한 담론보다 파편처럼 흩어진 개인의 공동체, 사회 속 소수자, 잊혀지기 쉬운 이야기들을 기록하고자 노력하고 있다. 가장 평범한 것들을 다시 바라보며 초점이 맞춰지지 않았던 부분에 주목하고, 숨겨진 연결고리를 탐구한다. 기록의 행위가 삶에 있어서 하나의 씨앗을 심는 일이라 생각하며, 기록하고 정리하는 행위를 지속하고 있다. 현재 1인 출판사 ‘파편’을 만들어, 사람들의 이야기가 책으로 세상에 꺼내지는데 힘을 보태고 있다.

Lee Jin Young(1992) was born and raised in Korea. His photos start with small everyday questions and find stories connected in triviality. Rather than a huge discourse, he trying to record individual communities scattered like fragments, minorities in society, and stories that are easy to forget. Looking back at the most ordinary things, paying attention to the parts that were not in focus, and exploring hidden links. he think the act of recording is the act of planting a seed in life, and he continue to record and organize. Currently, it has created a one-person publishing company called "Papyeon" to help bring people's stories to the world in books.
